Carribean latin flavor over at @selva.restaurant. Fresh Crudo, steak tartare, grilled cabbage, steak picanha, and the Selva on fire which had charcoal ice cream. Rooftop atmosphere as well made it all the better.

So you already know I had to slide through.

Big shout out to Pat, Nick, and Luke creating some of the best sandwiches in town over at Calisto’s. The South End newcomer leans into Italian deli culture with imported ingredients, house made touches, and sandwiches that don’t need a gimmick to stand out. The details do all the talking.

Had to pull up to Gracie’s Ice Cream in Somerville and get in the lab. We cooked up a flavor that took me straight back to the crib bringing my culture to the table and putting people on to stories they would’ve never heard otherwise.

I pulled up to The Wig Shop thinking I was there for cocktails...

Left realizing I was really there for the people and the vibe.

From hearing Oscar Simoza’s journey from Venezuela to running one of Boston’s best beverage programs to being welcomed by Lu, Olivia, and Kyle like I’d been coming there for years, this place reminded me what great hospitality actually feels like.

The cocktails are Incredible.
The lobster pancakes are worth the hype.
The vibe is even better.

The best restaurants don’t just serve great food and drinks.

They make strangers feel like regulars.

Started with the Patent Pending, followed by the Yo Yo Regano, then the Yo Soy, Orangu Tang, and finished with the Mala Vida. Five completely different cocktails, and every one had its own personality.

Food wise, the patatas bravas disappeared supa fast, the lobster pancakes lived up to every bit of the hype (don’t let the size fool you), and that cheese spread with Ritz crackers might’ve been the sleeper hit of the night.

The Wig Shop isn’t just making great cocktails they’re making cocktails that make you stop and ask, “Wait... what’s in this?”in the best way possible.

Definitely one of my favorite food and drink experiences in Boston.

Everybody swear they got the best BBQ... so I had to go see what all the smoke was about. NOAH’s is delivering just that in the Boston area.

Pulled up to Noah’s BBQ, chopped it up with the owner, heard how a backyard smoker turned into one of the coldest BBQ spots in New England, and yeah... the story hit just as hard as the food.

You can fake a lot of things... you can’t fake a brisket that’s been shown love for 14+ hours.

Natural wine becoming my new obsession I headed over to @grays_hall I’ve been hearing about a ton. Flowed through different wines starting off with that Luna Duna. Increíble Orange wine that I gotta try and find a bottle of to take home. Followed by a Sauvignon Blanc that Grays did a collab with. Food was next level - started off with the yellowtail crudo which was perfect and this coconut base with a slight spice to it. The strawberry rhubarb burrata tasted like summer and incredibly fresh to go with the sourdough. Insaneee. Honestly the brussel sprouts were my favorite with that balsamic on it I could have that every day. And than of course the burger for the main event. Just a fire spot that I’ll be coming back to more often than not.

Spicy Tan Tan Ramen over at @tonchinus. Everything in this fish is top notch but that broth is something else. Cant lie that spicy mess had me sweating. But it’s the thrill of it all and the flavor of this dish that allowed me to cross the finish line. Excellent and superb.
